With a strong performance in Ravensburg at the Towerstars, the Pioneers achieved a well deserved 2-0 victory against the DEL 2 club.
It was the first defeat for the Ravensburger in the ongoing preparation. With a goal by Youngster Aron Summer and a power play hit by Eric Florchuk, the Vorarlbergers decided the game with a strong middle third. A strong goalkeeper from David Madlener across the entire game brought the opposing strikers Schier to despair.
Towerstars with Plus opportunities in the start of the start
In the first section, the tower stars had more of the game, especially the better goal opportunities. It took a good four and a half minutes before the Vorarlberg guests caused a little danger to the opposing goal for the first time due to a shot from Florchuk. From the beginning, Dave Madlener was often the focus of the action and showed a strong performance. The Pioneers did not get too much offensive in the first section. A good chance of Daniel Woger and a well -heighted shot from Casey Dornbach presented the home goalie before tasks, otherwise he initially had little work with the guests from Austria. Shortly before the end of the third, there was the first small hardness insert when Mader and Latta teamed. A power play for the home side was the result, but which did not bring anything across thirds.
Pioneers take the lead 2-0 with efficient opportunities for opportunities
The Feldkirchers showed themselves more enthusiastically from the start in the second section than in the first twenty minutes. A power play at the beginning of the third was left unused. Except for a shot from Florchuk, they remained rather harmless. After two huge opportunities for the tower stars in the 27 and 28 minute, one of them from the ex Innsbruck Mark Rassel, it was Pioneers Youngster Aron Summer in a counterattack, who was able to overcome the TowerStars keeper with a half -high shot. After that, the spectators in the Ravensburger ice rink saw an open exchange of blows of the two teams. A good two minutes after the opening goal, the Pioneers scored the second goal in the power play. Eric Florchuk, who actually wanted to fit the disc on a better positioned teammate, got the disc on the sheet again after a defense campaign of an opponent and gave the opposing goalkeeper no chance when he finished light. A little later, Collin Adams could even have increased to 3-0, but moved over the goal. 38 seconds before the third end, there was another penalty time against the home side. However, nothing changed in terms of result until the second siren.
Pioneers defend leadership until the end
In the final third, the game got a little more rough. At first the Pioneers had the chance again, but could not use them. After that, Dave Madlener was the focus again with brilliant parades. The tower stars kept making their game flow with undiscipline. In the middle of the final section, the Feldkirchers were able to act more on the ice with a man. In a separate power play, the home side again gave great opportunities for the connection goal. A good four minutes before the end, Collin Adams only failed on the goalkeeper of the TowerStars. The emotions also went up with the opponents shortly before the end. In the end, the tower stars could no longer make the game exciting at Empty Net and high pressure on the defensive of the Feldkircher. So the Ravensburger still had to hand in their white vest in the fifth preparation match.
