Doping: a month of suspension for Aaltonenen

Aaltonen had been suspended provisionally since January 17. Swiss Sport Intergrity rendered a Clement Judgment for the Finn, who admitted to having consumed cocaine and has fully cooperated with the authorities.

Swiss Sport Integrity acknowledged that the violation of the rules had been carried out outside competition and was not intended to improve performance. In addition, Aaltonen has followed a rehabilitation program at its expense, which reduces the suspension to one month.

Aaltonen accepted the sanction and the fine of 1000 francs. He will also have to assume control costs (800 francs). In January, Kloten had terminated the Finnish contract, which has signed up for next season with CP Bern.

But the Bernese club decided on Wednesday to hire him now, since his suspension is now purged.
