Vallant has once again established himself as a reliable force in VSV’s defense in the current 2025/26 season. In the regular season, the 30-year-old made 37 appearances and recorded 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists).
But his importance goes far beyond the bare numbers: Vallant brings physical presence, routine and defensive stability to Villach’s game. The defender is also one of the crowd favorites in Villach thanks to his commitment.
Experience from Klagenfurt and the league
Before moving to Villach in the summer of 2024, Vallant was with the club for many years
EC KAC active. There he developed from a young player to a seasoned ICEHL defender and also gained international experience with the Austrian national team.
In the meantime, he also gained match practice at stations such as Innsbruck and Dornbirn before he regained his footing at KAC and finally made the step to VSV.
