ICEHL: Innsbruck & Pioneers want to score in the first West derby!

After the 1: 8 against Pustertal, the sharks are on reparation. The team wants to show a different face in Feldkirch.

“There are no excuses for that, we must not present ourselves,” said HCI goal scorer Steven Owre after the 1: 8 against HC Puster Valley. Head coach Ryan Kinasewich saw it similarly: “We saw a team yesterday that we didn’t know it. No pass worked, it was like in a bad dream. But I think that everyone understood that this league is strong. If you think it is easy, you just get a lot of strokes of us”. Kinasewich does not want to stay with the game against the HCP for a long time: “It has happened, ok. We have to focus on tomorrow, because it will be nothing easier. We know Vorarlberg, know that they work hard and everything will be working hard. We want to reply yesterday, we and everyone else show that we are a good team and take a big win.”

For Steven Owre, returning to his old place of work is something special: “Of course, I still know some in the club. But with the start of the game, all of this is over, so it is time to get three points,” says Owre, who knows that it will not be easy to win in Feldkirch.

Pioneers also start with defeat

Like the HCI, the Vorarlbergers lost their first game, in Linz it set a 2: 5. This is not the only reason why the Pioneers will do everything possible to start the first victory tomorrow. The Vorarlbergers certainly also have the two scarce test game defeats against the HCI in the pre-season.

The fans can look forward to an exciting western derby of two hungry teams.
