The Pioneers Vorarlberg announced on Tuesday that Pit Gleim has decided to step down from his role as president of the club. Gleim’s reasons for withdrawing at the end of the financial year at the end of June include the fact that the economic conditions have changed from year to year and it has not been possible to attract larger regional companies as additional partners.
Referring to current media reports, the win2day ICE Hockey League makes it clear that the “Pioneers Vorarlberg Eishockeyclub” club, as a full league member, has the right to play in the championship.
Decision within three weeks!
The Pioneers Vorarlberg – like the other twelve active clubs in the win2day ICE Hockey League – are registered for the 2026/27 season. The remaining club management informed the league organization that a decision on the future of the club would be made within the next three weeks. Then it will be clear whether the Pioneers will actually take part in the next season.
