At EC VSV, a personality is causing unrest: According to “Kronen Zeitung”, striker Nick Hutchison has signaled that he does not want to return to Villach – even though his contract runs for another year.
According to reports, the 30-year-old American no longer feels comfortable in the Drau city. However, a final decision on his future is still pending.
Ultimatum from the club
The VSV now reacts with clear words and puts Hutchison under pressure. The attacker must decide by next week at the latest whether he wants to fulfill his contract or leave the club.
Sports director Herbie Hohenberger spoke clearly about the situation to the “Kronen Zeitung”: “We have to plan. If someone doesn’t want to, then it makes zero sense to force them to stay.”
Important building block in the season
Hutchison was an important part of the team last season. He collected 32 points in 40 games and was one of the Eagles’ top performers, especially at the start of the season.
VSV faces crucial personnel issue
What will happen next for the striker remains unclear for the time being. However, one thing is clear: the club wants planning security quickly so as not to endanger the squad planning for the coming season.
