Canada beats Sweden in overtime

A success of Mitch Marner after 6’06 in “Overtime” allowed Canada to win. The Toronto striker found the fault of a wrist shot after entering the offensive zone like a cannonball having taken advantage of a pass from Sidney Crosby.

Captain of his team, Crosby was the man of the match with his 3 assists. Canada is also 26 consecutive victories on the international scene when the Penguins star is on the ice.

Sweden did not let go of this part. The TR Kronor found himself led 2-0, after having conceded a first goal after only 56 seconds on a Canadian numerical superiority, then 3-1. Sam Hallam’s team had to wait until the 18th minute to frame a first shot in this match.
