NHL: For many years of Montreal Canadien’s striker ends his career!

At the age of 36, the American Max Pacioretty gave up his skates. The striker completed no less than 17 seasons in the best league in the world.

His debut in the National Hockey League celebrated Pacioretty, the 22nd Overall Pick of the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL Entry Draft 2007, in the 2008/09 season, where he ran for the Habs, as well as the Hamilton Bulldogs. On January 2, 2009, he made his debut against the New Jersey Devils and was able to score a goal in his first game. Many hits should follow in his long career.

In 2015, Pacioretty became the second American captain of the Montreal Canadiens-the first War Brian Gionta, who led the Habs from 2010 to 2014. The collaboration ended in 2018 and Pacioretty left Quebec after ten seasons and 626 season games. Four years at the Vegas Golden Knights should follow before spending three different teams for the past three years – Carolina, Washington and finally Toronto. Due to some injuries, the American missed a variety of games in recent years, “unforgettable” also the check by Boston Bruin’s defender Zdeno Chara, the Pacioretty 2011 against a post at the end of the player bank. “Patches” suffered a broken cervical vertebrae and a severe concussion.

After 939 games and 682 points, Max Pacioretty now draws a line under his player career. In the list of top scorers in NHL history, the Crack, born in the US state of Connecticut, ranks 43. He returns to an old place of work and will hold the role as “Special Assistant to the Head Coach” at the University of Michigan.
