Salzburg coach Viveiros: “We are going in the right direction”

EC Red Bull Salzburg celebrated a 4-3 home win against DEL club ERC Ingolstadt in the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions Hockey League (CHL). Despite the win, it was not enough to advance due to the 2:6 defeat in the first leg (overall score 6:9).

After the game, head coach Manny Viveiros was proud of his team’s performance, even though the elimination hurt.

“We played really well. We had so many good quality chances, even in the final third, to maybe reach overtime. Ultimately, we were eliminated in two games because we put ourselves behind with too many penalties in the first game. But I’m proud of our team, we’re going in the right direction.”

However, the coach emphasizes the team’s positive development and is optimistic about the future.
