Flu infections are currently not stopping at the Black Wings cabin. While Knott reported himself healthy again, Travis Barron was hit, as the “Oberösterreichische Nachrichten” reports. The 27-year-old was not fit to play against the Hungarians and was therefore missing from yesterday’s game. Particularly bitter: Barron is one of Linz’s offensive fixtures this season and has so far scored 37 points in 36 games.
It is currently unclear whether the striker will be fit in time. It remains to be seen whether Barron will be able to board the team bus at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Due to the construction sites on the Brenner motorway, the Linzers are traveling to South Tyrol a day earlier in order to optimally prepare for the duel with HC Pustertal.
