The Red Bull Hockey Juniors won the summit meeting with KHL Sisak on Saturday and regained the lead in the table. In the duel between the two table neighbors HC Meran and HDD Jesenice, the South Tyroleans celebrated a clear success.
Juniors win top game against Sisak 5:2
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors won the direct duel for the top spot in the Alps Hockey League against KHL Sisak 5-2. Salzburg took a 2-0 lead in the first third with goals from Lukas Greil and Jesse Juhola before Sisak reduced the lead before the first break. After the 2-2 equalizer in the middle third, the juniors responded promptly: Luca Auer and Greil again made it 4-2 before the second siren. In the final period, the guests pressed for the next goal, but Salzburg defended compactly and made it 5-2 in the 57th minute through Maxim Eliseev.
Meran celebrates sovereign success in the duel between its neighbors in the table
HC Meran won the duel between their neighbors in the table against HDD Jesenice 4-1 and thus left the Slovenians behind in the table. The South Tyrolean hosts got off to a perfect start and took the lead 1-0 in the third minute through Noah Frick. Meran increased the lead to 2-0 in the first section. In the middle third, Brayden Sherbinin made the preliminary decision with a power play goal. In the end, Meran celebrated a confident 4-1 win.
