Vienna Capitals end their South Tyrol trip with a threesome in Bruneck!

Less than 24 hours after the success at HCB Südtirol Alperia, the Vienna Capitals achieved their next victory in South Tyrol. At HC Falkensteiner Pustertal, the capital city team celebrated a 3-2 win. For the first time in the current season, the Caps were able to win three games in a row.

The Vienna Capitals decided on a perfect road trip weekend in South Tyrol. After the surprising win against HCB Südtirol Alperia on Saturday evening, the Caps added another “threesome” against HC Falkensteiner Pustertal less than 24 hours later. With these additional six points, the Viennese pushed the Steinbach Black Wings Linz out of tenth place. HC Pustertal and the Caps fought a high-class duel with playoff character right from the start. After a goalless starting third, Randy Gazzola gave the Viennese the lead in the middle third. At the beginning of the final period, Pustertal equalized, but a brace from Jeremy Gregoire brought the preliminary decision. The Wolves managed to score the next goal, but they were unable to save themselves into extra time.
