Several hundred fans in the first egg training of the Vienna Capitals!

In front of around 700 enthusiastic fans, the Vienna Capitals’ professional team held the first training session of the season from Steffl Sports. Even before the unity, the passion of the Viennese audience was apparent, so the team was loudly and spectacularly welcomed by the Vienna Appendix on the way to Hall 3 of the Steffl Arena.

During the training, the professionals of the Vienna Capitals then entertained their fans with remarkable deposits. After the one -hour unit, a large part of the audience made use of the opportunity to get to the team on the ice to get the first selfies and autographs of the season.

During the first training of the season, 14 newcomers got to know the Viennese audience for the first time by Steffl Sports. Among them Linden Vey, who gained a very positive impression. “I hadn’t expected the fans to receive us like this today. That was very special. For us, we are about lying down the season and giving them a lot of fun,” explains the 34-year-old striker from Canada.

For head coach Gerry Fleming, on the other hand, it was the second start to the season in the Danube city. The 57-year-old was full of praise for his team. “Today’s training session was very good. However, it is much more important that the players delivered outstanding results at our performance tests last week. You go a big compliment for this, because you can see that they have worked hard in summer and have invested a lot of time. For the style that we want to play in the coming season Shows impressed. “The atmosphere that our fans created was incredible. Our new players were blown away. It is important that they also understand how closely the connection between the fans and the team is.”
