ICEHL: Puster Valley adds the first defeat of the season to Salzburg!

The HC Falkensteiner Pustertal has added the first defeat of the 2025/26 season to the incumbent master EC Red Bull Salzburg. The Brunecker prevailed 2-1 in front of a home backdrop.

The HC Falkensteiner Pustertal was the first team to defeat series champion EC Red Bull Salzburg this season. Connor Corcoran scored the lead for the guests (6th) early for the guests, but the wolves turned the game in the middle third within four minutes. Rok Tičar initially equalized before Tommy Purdeller – after passing from Tičar – marked the 2-1 and made the Intercable Arena shake. Salzburg pressed the equalizer in the final third, but could no longer be able to get past HCP goalie Eddie Pasquale, who became the match winner.
