Shock in Vienna: Striker is out for weeks again!

Bitter news for the fans in the capital: Senna Peeters will be missing from the team for weeks again. The 23-year-old striker retired on Sunday in the game against the EC-KAC suffered a lower body injury in the very match in which he became a beacon of hope with his goal to equalize 2-2.

For Peeters it is the next bitter episode in a season already marked by injuries. The attacker, who moved from Klagenfurt to Vienna in the summer, wanted to make a fresh start in the federal capital. But a serious upper body injury stopped him during preparation. He was out for months and was only able to celebrate his comeback in January.

Since then, the offensive man has only played nine games in the regular season. There are two goals and two assists. Just when Peeters was regaining his old strength and increasingly taking on an important role in the attacking game, the next setback followed.

It is not yet clear how long the 23-year-old will have to take a break this time, but one thing is certain: it will be several weeks again, as the Capitals announced.
