Renovation in full swing: Linz ice rink receives modern video cube!

While the players of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz are enjoying a short break after five wins in a row, there is a lot of work going on in the Linz AG Eisarena. As already stated by President Peter Nader in the icebreaker podcast “Upper Austrian News” announced, the modernization of the video cube is currently underway – an important step in the ongoing renovation and modernization process of the Linz home.

State-of-the-art technology for a better fan experience

The new video cube should not only impress with better image quality and greater resolution, but also offer new options for game entertainment, live statistics and sponsor presentations. This means the arena is preparing for current ICE standards and a contemporary spectator experience.

“We want to offer our fans the best environment – on and off the ice,” emphasized President Nader recently. The upgrade of the video cube is part of a long-term modernization concept that is intended to raise the Black Wings’ infrastructure to a new level.

Team back on the ice – Kernberger leaves Linz

After four days off, head coach Philipp Lukas is asking his team back on the ice from Friday to prepare for the second phase of the regular season. The next league game is away at KAC on November 12th.

Michael Kernberger is no longer there: the Carinthian defender is leaving Linz after his short-term contract expires. With the return of several injured players – including Luis Lindner, who is already back in his first units – Kernberger is no longer needed despite his solid performances.

Focus on sporting momentum and new impulses

With the ongoing upward trend and the technical upgrades in the ice rink, the Black Wings are optimistic about the coming weeks. The modernization is not only intended to enhance match days, but also to make Linz a more attractive location in the long term – for players, fans and partners alike.
