HC Falkensteiner Pustertal prevailed against HCB Südtirol Alperia and is in third place in the table thanks to its sixth win of the season. The Foxes’ six-game winning streak ended.
3,100 fans experienced a thrilling 199th South Tyrolean derby in the sold-out Intercable Arena. The guests from Bolzano got off to a strong start and went into the first break 2-0 after goals from Mantenuto and McClure. Pustertal fought back in the middle section and equalized, but the HCB took the lead again in the 44th minute through Misley. However, a brace from Rok Tičar within two minutes turned the game in favor of the home team. Shortly afterwards, Bowlby made it 5:3 and sealed the final score in the 53rd minute. It was already the second derby victory in a row for the now third-placed HCP.
