ICEHL: RBS-Youngster cheered against Bolzano over his ICE premier hit!

Defending champion EC Red Bull Salzburg successfully started the new season with a 4: 3 away win at HCB South Tyrol Alperia. It was a very special game for the 19-year-old Adrian Geson: In his third assignment, the Vorarlberg scored his first goal in Win2day Ice Hockey League-and was visibly thrilled after the game.

“It was important that we won the first game. We can now build on that,” said Adrian Geson. In the 29th minute, the striker set his personal highlight with his goal for the meantime and spoke of a “breathtaking moment”: “I just wanted to do my job and take the chance. Then I just shoot a goal is just incredible. I’m really happy.”

Geson has already been running numerous years of the Red Bull Academy and has been wearing the Red Bull Hockey Juniors jersey for a year and a half – even as a captain this season. He sees the Alps Hockey League as a decisive intermediate step towards professional ice hockey: “It definitely plays a huge role because you play against men for the first time. And that is simply important for every young player, because against men is always different than against the same age. That is why the Alps Hockey League is a really good step for every young player.”

The final new edition against the KAC is waiting on Salzburg on Sunday. “It will definitely be an interesting and hard game,” the Vorarlberg looks ahead. “Of course I hope for three points from our team.”

The final new edition between the EC Red Bull Salzburg and the EC-KAC can be seen live on ORF 1 on Sunday from 4:15 p.m.
