The third semi-final matches in the Alps Hockey League are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. After the clear 5-0 home win, HC Gherdeina travels to defending champions EK Die Zeller Eisbären on Tuesday. The next day, HC Meran/o Pircher and KHL Sisak meet in the first of two duels within 24 hours.
There have been two home wins so far in the series between Zell am See and Val Gardena. In the first duel, the defending champions equalized shortly before the end of regular time and secured victory in extra time. On Saturday, the South Tyroleans celebrated a clear 5-0 win in front of their home crowd. The Pinzgauers can look back on 13 home wins in a row. The “Furie” have always alternated between victory and defeat in the last six away games. The EKZ also won its last four home games against Val Gardena with an impressive goal difference of 17:2.
Meran and Sisak will face each other again on Wednesday and Thursday. In the first doubleheader in Croatia, both teams recorded one win each.
