The Graz99ers were sensational yesterday to the HC Innsbruck. There was great excitement before the game, because the journey was anything but according to plan.
A kilometer -long traffic jam due to a dramatic accident on the Inn Valley Autobahn, which brought a total lock with it, made the Styrian arrival massive for yesterday’s game in Innsbruck.
The Grazers had to leave the highway, went to Hall station on foot and took the train to Innsbruck, as the “Kleine Zeitung” reports. From there, the cracks had to walk to the hall again before they arrived late and the game could only start with 30 minutes of delay.
Unfortunate course
The game itself also went sobering. HCI goalie Vernon caught a dream day, the shark compensation fell six seconds before the end and in the shootout the hosts got the extra point and the second win of the season.
For the Grazer, it goes further to the West today. At the Pioneers Vorarlberg you want to complete the road trip with at least one win.
