Olympic bronze, NHL inserts, championship title in Russia and Switzerland-the sporty Vita of Linden Vey is impressive. But the 33-year-old, who storms for the Vienna Capitals in the next two seasons, remains modest.
“I just like to play ice hockey,” said the newcomer in an interview with the Kronen Zeitung. With his experience, Vey wants to help the Viennese to find back on track: “I want to help my part to go up again. We want to come to the play-offs and then see what is possible.” He deliberately hides the past of the caps, his focus is only on the future.
For the Canadian, the family is in the foreground for the Canadian. Wife Kacy and the three sons Mylo, Jaxson and Leo moved to Vienna with him. “The family was also a motto why I chose Vienna.”
His role in the caps is clear to the top transfer: rest pol, team player and guiding figure. “I have experience, want to benefit from the teammates.”
