ICEHL: The VSV has started in egg training!

On Tuesday for the EC IDM heat pumps VSV, the starting signal was officially the new season. With midsummer 30 degrees outside and significantly cooler temperatures in the town hall, Head Coach Tray Tuomie, Assistant Coach Marco Pewal and Goaltending Coach Patrick Machreich asked their blue and white cracks for the first official training session.

From the beginning there was a good pace. With a lot of joy, pass combinations and the first tactical accents, the team took the opportunity to find the rhythm again after the summer break. The spectators looked particularly excited about the four newcomers: Luca Erne (Pioneers Vorarlberg/EC Bregenzerwald), Adam Helewka (HC Bolzano), Nick Hutchison (EV Landshut) and Steven Strong (EC KAC) presented themselves highly motivated, committed and quickly found themselves in the team structure.

The 3-on-3 game at the end of the unit offered a special eye-catcher: The series around Topscorer John Hughes, Kevin Hancock and Maximilian Rebernig convinced with striking well-being, precise passing and well-timed actions-a foretaste of what the fans can expect in the new season.

Rotation between the posts

Between the posts, the coaches rely on rotation: Lukas Moser, Joe Cannata and René Swette shared the ice age and provided a successful start with some parades. Newcomer Adam Helewka, who showed some technical “Gustostückerln” and fine puck control, provided an offensive highlight.

For a long time, the fans do not have to be patient until it gets serious for the first time: A real endurance test is waiting in Zell am See next Friday at 7:30 p.m. The opponents are the Kassel Huskies, title aspirant of the second highest German division.
