The new season of the European Women’s Hockey League and the Win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League starts with a full weekend. While Master Aisulu Almaty opens league operations, there are several exciting duels on the program on Saturday-including the first Win2day AWHL live game on Sporteurope.tv.
Champion Aisulu opens league operations on Friday
The new season starts with the reigning champions: Aisulu Almaty opens the European Women’s Hockey League on Friday with a home game against HK PSRZ Bratislava. The champion from Kazakhstan had last had to give up 3: 6 in the Eurocup Berlin and – as in the previous year – caught a false start into the new season. After a defeat against the Sabres St. Pölten in the Eurocup, Bratislava also plans to break back and build on the strong pre -season, in which you made it to the EWHL semi -finals.

On Saturday, the Win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League teams will start. Two purely Austrian duels are on the program, which are rated both for the AWHL and the EWHL. The focus is particularly on the Lakers Carinthia duel against the Sabres St. Pölten, which will be transferred free of charge to Sporteurope.tv for the first time. The Sabres, premiere winners of the AWHL, meet the Carinthian women who took a strong third place in the debut season. At the same time, the EHC Salzburg Eagles receives the Liganeuling Villach Lady Hawks, who were able to gain AWHL experience in last year’s qualifying round and even initiate a victory against the Eagles. There is also a lot going on international on Saturday: the Budapest derby between Budapest Jegkorong Akademia and Mac Budapest creates excitement, while HK PSRZ Bratislava receives the KSV Highlanders from Styria and meet the EC Graz Huskies on the EVB Eagles.
Sunday: Aisulu demanded again
The master not only opens the season, but also decides the first weekend. On Sunday, Aisulu Almaty welcomes the EVB Eagles, who start their season with a road trip and are used for the second time after an intensive opening program.
