ÖHV Head Coach Roger Bader goes after the A-WM in Sweden and Denmark in May 2025, where Austria’s men’s ice hockey national team played in Group A in Stockholm, sensationally reached the quarter-finals and in the end eighth, confidently in the “World Cup in Switzerland 2026”.
Austria’s men meet at the 2026 ICE Hockey World Championship from May 15th to 31, 2026 in Switzerland in Group A in Zurich to the host, the USA, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Hungary and Great Britain.
On the way to Zurich, the ÖEHV selection is again completed by a strong preparatory program, starting with the traditional Germany Cup in November, in which Austria tests in addition to the match against hosts Germany against Latvia and Slovakia.
A four-nation tournament with Denmark, France and Norway follows in the February break, before the final World Cup preparation campaign begins in April 2026.
Head Coach Roger Bader has a clear goal for the World Cup in his homeland in his homeland in Switzerland after the quarter -finals 2025 and the best World Cup, but wants his cracks to stay on the ground in 2026: “The last two world championships were extraordinary and went far beyond the expected.
