Jason Jaspers and Kohl Schultz led the wolves to the quarter -finals last season and are again on the command bridge of the HC Falkensteiner Pustertal this year. But the “team around the team” is of course much larger, including the coaching staff and sporty management.
René Baur remains athletics trainer. The 39-year-old Toblacher, living in Bruneck, was the best Pusterer goalkeeper in series A and A2 and for the HCP, Fassa, Meran, Sterzing and Cortina for years. There are also an Olympic participation in 2006 and 30 caps. As a fitness trainer, he worked for Davos (NLA, 2015-18) for 3 years, since then he has been part of the wolves again. René has been part of the HCP coaching team since ICE entry in 2021.
Thomas Tragust remains goalkeeper trainer. The long-standing top goalie National (including HCP 2016-2018) and International (World Championships, EBEL, DEL2) is married and resident in the Puster Valley. Tragust has been successfully training goalies for over 10 years, with the HC Falkensteiner Pustertal he is now in his 5th season. In May 2025, he was part of the national team’s coaching staff, which made the return to the A group in Romania.
In the sporting area, the HCP tries to lead continuity and development. The sporting area – under the direction of Patrick Bona (in this function since 2021, previously numerous years of players at the HCP) – is growing.
Christopher “Oly” Hicks will bring in part of the wolve family and as a consultant his expertise and experience in the sporting area of the HCP. The Canadian has been a coach in the local ice hockey for almost two decades as well as sporting director in the professional and predominantly in the youth field and was already working at the HCP in 2013/14. As a sporting consultant of the Alps Ice Academy and the HCP (Bruneck-Sterzing-Brixen) farm team construction, Hicks has already played a very responsible role in the past. This role is now being expanded.
