The KHL Sisak won the third semi-final game at HC Meran/o Pircher 4-1 and took the lead in the series for the first time (2-1). The South Tyroleans took the lead shortly before the end of the first third, but after that only the Croatians scored. Game four continues tomorrow, Thursday. The fourth game in the second semi-final series between Val Gardena and Zell am See is also on the program on Thursday.
In a balanced third semi-final game, the guests from Croatia prevailed in the end, taking the lead for the first time in this series and can win match pucks tomorrow, Thursday at 8:00 p.m. (Valcome.tv). Meran won game one of the series 4-2 in Sisak, followed by a 10-3 victory for the Croatians.
In front of more than 1,300 fans in the Meranarena, the South Tyroleans initially took the lead – just five seconds before the end of the first third through Brayden Sherbinin. However, Sisak was unimpressed and came out of the locker room perfectly: Danila Larionovs equalized just 14 seconds after the restart. In the 30th minute, the Croatians were finally able to turn the game around: Kim Sang Yeob scored to make it 2-1 after an assist from Tjas Lesnicar. Lesnicar had also previously given the assist to equalize.
After that, a game developed on a knife’s edge: Meran had more shots on goal in the game (41:27), but Vito Nikolic in the Croatian goal – who replaced the injured Vilim Rosandic – didn’t allow another goal. In the 56th minute, Niksa Juric finally made the decision for Sisak. Two minutes before the end, Vito Idzan made the final score 4-1.
