RBS crack Peter Schneider: We’re not playing catastrophically!”

After twelve games played so far, the reigning champions EC Red Bull Salzburg are “only” in 5th place with 21 points. Things are not going so easily in the city of Mozart, but people are optimistic.

The table is extremely tight, which is why in the end the Bulls are only four points short of the top of the table, which is currently occupied by Olimpija Ljubljana. Most recently there was a three-pointer against Innsbruck, before that they lost three of four games. Not everything is going well yet and today, of all things, league newcomer Ferencvaros Budapest is coming: “We’ve already looked at a few things and talked about them. We’re excited to see what it’s like against them,” Peter Schneider told the “Crown newspaper“.

Schneider himself is still struggling a bit with his evaluation of his chances. The national team crack has two goals and four points to his name so far. With 34 goals scored, you still have a lot of room for improvement, but you also need the necessary luck from time to time: “It’s normal that the puck doesn’t always bounce like that. We have to keep working, then this issue will turn around. We’re not playing catastrophically or can’t keep up. There’s just little to nothing coming in. That affects everyone. Even me. Nevertheless, we’re quite successful overall. It’s certainly not all bad.”
