Lausanne wins in Bern, Ajoie collapses

The evening started with a goal canceled by the LHC (7th), for an obstruction on Wüthrich. That didn’t cool the Lions, who scored through Raffl in the sequence.

The end of the first period gave rise to a funny scene. Marchon found the back of the net for the Bears 15” from the siren, but the video established that Loeffel had already equalized a minute earlier, when the referees thought it was a shot on the post.

After the break, Kahun gave SCB the advantage (24th). But Lausanne ended up jubilant despite everything thanks to a clever deflection from Suomela 26” from the end of the third. The Finn once again proved providential 39” from the end of extra time.

In Ticino, Ajoie ended up collapsing in the third period, in the space of 4 nightmarish minutes. Twice behind, the Jurassians managed to come back, before taking a 3-2 advantage through Honka, 10” from the second break.

But Heim first equalized for the Léventins from the restart (41’30”), before Maillet put his teammates back in front with an unstoppable 5-on-4 shot (44’39”). When Pestoni made the break (45’19”), the coach’s challenge requested by Greg Ireland for a possible obstruction turned against his team, with a confirmed goal accompanied by a penalty.

The unsporting behavior of goalkeeper Conz even forced Ajoie to play 3 against 5. Kubalik was thus able to kill the suspense with the 6th Ticino goal (45’37”). And Kostner sealed the score in the 51st.
