Four Graz99ers cracks will strengthen the ÖEHV team!

Freshly crowned and still in the middle of the celebrations: The Graz99ers are actually enjoying their well-deserved break after their historic championship title in the win2day ICE Hockey League. But for some players the season isn’t over yet – the national team is calling.

According to “LAOLA”, four players from the newly crowned champion will join the Austrian national team in the coming days and strengthen their preparation for the Ice Hockey World Championships in Zurich. Defender Paul Stapelfeldt and the two young strikers Tim Harnisch and Lenz Moosbrugger will travel to Zell am See on Wednesday evening, where they will start training straight away.

Their first international match as part of the World Cup preparations could follow on Saturday: in the friendly against Germany in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, all three should put on the red-white-red jersey for the first time.

Top scorer Paul Huber, on the other hand, will have a little more recovery time. The attacker will only join the team in the final phase of preparation in Klagenfurt. There Austria will play the last test match before the start of the World Cup against Slovenia in the Heidi Horten Arena on May 9th.

However, some prominent names will not be there: Lukas Haudum has to undergo an operation, while Lukas Kainz is out due to injury. The World Cup is also not an issue for several other players.
