ICEHL: The KAC wants to keep two team members!

The EC-KAC season ended on March 25th – the Red Jackets lost Game 6 of the quarterfinal series against Hydro Fehervar AV19. Lake Wörthersee is already in the middle of off-season operations and the Carinthians should retain two strikers.

Jan Mursak was on the ice for the record champions in his third season in 2025/26. 37 appearances, 37 points – at 38 years old, the Slovenian is still an important part of the KAC offensive. The people of Klagenfurt are interested in further collaboration.

Kempe should also stay

The same applies to 37-year-old Swede Mario Kempe, who played for the KAC for the first time last season. In the end, the brother of LA Kings bomber Adrian Kempe made 43 appearances, in which he recorded ten goals and 18 assists.

It is unclear when exactly a decision will be made. KAC General Manager Oliver Pilloni told the “Crown newspaper“: “We stayed in such a way that both of us will now think about everything for some time. And we will sit down together in the next few weeks.”
