Exit clause: What happens next for VSV coach Allard?

The EC VSV has already communicated several times in the last few weeks that they continue to trust in head coach Pierre Allard despite the crisis. Now the “Kronen Zeitung” reports on an exit clause for the current contract.

Pierre Allard, who took over the position of head coach for the first time in his career at the beginning of December, has a contract with VSV until the end of the 2026/27 season. Although the club has agreed an exit clause that applies if VSV does not reach the play-offs this season, managing director Martin Winkler emphasized to the “Kronen Zeitung”: “Even if it doesn’t work out, he can stay in office. He’s doing a good job, we’ll definitely continue to work with him. He’s really great as a person and professionally.”

Allard took over the reins in Villach after parting ways with Tray Tuomie at the beginning of December and was most recently able to win two of the last three games with VSV.
