Terrible news reaches us from North America. The only 25-year-old Orca Wiesblatt was torn out of life much too early in a car accident.
Wiesblatt spent his junior era in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL, where he ran for the Calgary Hitmen and Brooks Bandits. Wiesblatt was not active between 2021 and 2023, for the 2023/23 season he returned to the ice for pensacola Ice Flyers.
In the past season he stood on the ice in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) and stormed for the Athens Rock Lobsters. He was able to score 17 goals and 42 points in 37 games.
His brother Ozzy was pulled by the San Jose Sharks in the first round Es NHL Entry Drafts, and his other two brothers, Ocean and Oazis chase the hard rubber.
On Sunday morning Orca Wiesblatt died in a car accident in Nanano, Canada. Athens’ President Scott Hull: “His passion for the game and his contagious energy made him a favorite of the audience and loyal teammates. But in addition, Orca was an even better person apart from the ice – friendly, modest and someone who everyone likes to know. We are destroyed and our thoughts are with his family.”
