The KAC starts the preparation with just a new addition – but it has high demands: defender Jordan Murray, who came from the DEL from the Schwenninger Wild Wings, showed up in conversation with the
Small newspaper Impressed by the city, environment and team.
“The first impressions were impressive,” said Murray after the start of training. “The city with the Wörthersee nearby is beautiful.” However, he particularly emphasized the atmosphere in the team: “You immediately notice that everything is going on professionally. Everyone takes their job very seriously.”
With a view to the two last lost final series, Murray is also clear where the journey should go: “The goal is to get back to the final and get the title this time.” Murray was also positive about the upcoming tasks in the Champions Hockey League. He sees the game against the Eisbären Berlin at the end of August as a real endurance test: “You are the best team of DEL and one of the best in Europe. It is good to have important games like this before the basic round.”
While Murray is supposed to stabilize the defense, the KAC is still looking for a suitable striker. Sports director Joel Furey emphasizes: “We don’t get any players just to fill squad places. He has to fit into the team structure.”
