Contract terminated: Black Wings Linz Crack returns to its old place of work!

With Aljaz Predan, the Zeller Eisbären are bringing a champion crack from the previous season back to Lake Zell. The native Slovene with an Austrian passport is moving from the Black Wings Linz back to the Zeller Eisbären with immediate effect!

Aljaz Predan, fourth best scorer in the Alps Hockey League playoffs last season with 5 goals and 8 assists, as well as an absolute top performer in Marcel Rodman’s line up, is returning to Lake Zell!

He is moving from the Steinbach Black Wings Linz to Zell am See with immediate effect and, if everything goes well with the registration formalities, he could celebrate his comeback in the polar bear jersey this evening in the game against HC Meran/o.

By signing Predan, the Eisbären are reacting to Dominik Prodinger’s temporary return to Villacher SV. Due to various failures in the VSV squad, Prodinger was brought back to his parent club and is getting very valuable match practice in the win2day ICE Hockey League, which will be of great benefit to the player for his future career.

STATEMENTS:

Polar Bears head coach Marcel Rodman: “We have very high goals again this year and want to do everything we can to achieve them again. Losses due to injuries etc. are part of it, but we want to be as well positioned as possible to be prepared for all eventualities. Aljaz played a large part in last year’s success. When we last looked around the transfer market, it was important to us to find a player who already knows our system and our culture and Aljaz naturally fit our profile perfectly. The player is happy to be here again and we are Of course too!”

Eisbären Managing Director Patrick Schwarz: “Aljaz has had a very difficult year in Linz so far. On the one hand, due to his absences, we can give him the match practice he needs to develop further in his sport and, on the other hand, we get him back with a top character and player from the championship year. Thanks to Phil Lukas and Peter Nader for the once again very uncomplicated and appreciative handling of all formalities and support.”

Aljaz Predan: “I am very happy that I have the opportunity to gain valuable match practice in Zell am See and to play again in front of the best fans in the league. The crowd in Zell am See is simply world class and I am very happy to be part of this great organization and team again and to be able to deliver good performances on the ice together with my teammates.”
