Brent Burns has reached another milestone in the NHL. The Colorado Avalanche defenseman completed his 1,000th. game in a row, making him only the second player in league history to achieve this extraordinary series.
The impressive series began in November 2013 during his time with the San Jose Sharks. There, Burns developed into one of the league’s dominant defenders, winning the Norris Trophy in 2017 and leading the Sharks to the Stanley Cup Final in 2016.

With his anniversary, the 39-year-old once again underlines his enormous consistency and resilience and consolidates his place among the longest-lasting players in NHL history. In the “Iron Man” standings, the Canadian is now behind Phil Kessel, who holds the record with 1,064 games.
