VSV talent Sintschnig: “For me it is a dream that has come true”

The only 16-year-old Paul Sintschnig has presented himself strongly and will also be on the line in today’s last test game (3:30 p.m.) against the DEL 2 club Rosenheim. With three goals and two assists in the pre-season, he has impressively recommended.

Most recently, the youngster was even celebrated with speech choirs by the VSV fans. “I could never have imagined that. It is a dream for me that came true,” Sintschnig is overwhelmed over to the “Kronen Zeitung”. The striker moved from Kac offspring to Villach and pursued a clear goal: “It was always my drive to show people who didn’t believe in me what really was in me.”

In the VSV team, he gratefully accepts the routine’s tips. According to the “Kronen Zeitung”, the exchange with Alexander Rauchenwald is particularly valuable: “He talks a lot to me, gives me advice – we also get along well privately.”

Sintschnig’s medium-term goal is clear: to make the leap into the ICE hockey league. At the same time, he emphasizes the team idea: “Of course I want to go to the fighting team. But primarily is about winning together.” Coach Tray Tuomie also knows about the qualities of his protégé – and the challenges: “Paul will get his missions because he is a good player. But we don’t want to burn him, because there is always a risk that too much is expected from him. He is still young.”
