Jeremy Bracco, who played a few games for HC Innsbruck last year, is also storming in Europe this season and was able to score in his first game.
In his junior year, the American was said to have an extremely high skill set. The Toronto Maple Leafs drafted the striker at position 61, but it wasn’t enough to play in the best league in the world. After three full seasons in the American Hockey League, Bracco made the leap across the pond in 2020.
Take a detour to the ICE
Last season he found his way into the win2day ICE Hockey League via Finland, Kazakhstan, Russia and Slovakia and played in 22 games for HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie. With 17 points he showed his offensive qualities, but the season for the US crack didn’t end in the Inntal, but in Slovakia, at HK Poprad.
And that’s exactly where Bracco signed a contract extension a few days ago, binding the 28-year-old winger to the club for the 2025/26 season. In his first game of the season, a 5:6 OT defeat against Slovan Bratislava, Bracco recorded a scorer point.
