ICEHL: The KAC is threatened with two more long-term injuries!

After Fabian Hochegger, David Maier and Luka Gomboc are now also at risk of being out for a long time. Both players had to miss the game recently due to injuries and the medical examinations offer little hope of a quick return.

According to the “Kleine Zeitung”, the MR examination did not give the all-clear for defense attorney David Maier. The 24-year-old is suffering from an injury that, according to the club, will keep him out of action for several weeks. This means that the KAC is losing an important defensive pillar, which has recently been challenged by changes.

Luka Gomboc seems to have had it even worse. The Slovenian striker had to leave the ice due to an injury in the first third of the CHL game against Tychy. Gomboc had already suffered a serious upper body injury last year that cost him most of the season – now a similar scenario is looming. The exact diagnosis is expected on Friday, but signs point to a longer break.
