The Moser Medical Graz99ers celebrated their third win in a row and improved to third place. In front of their home crowd, the Styrians beat EC Red Bull Salzburg 3-1. After a goalless first third with chances on both sides, Graz took control in the middle third: Josh Currie scored twice, and Paul Huber increased the score to 3-0 shortly afterwards. Goalie Maxime Lagacé held on to the lead with strong saves. The 99ers defended their lead in the final third. Salzburg reduced the score to 1:3 through Michael Raffl with the sixth field player, but Manuel Ganahl made everything clear with an empty-net goal in the 58th minute. It was the fourth defeat in a row for champions Salzburg.
