For the second time this season, HCB Südtirol Alperia prevailed against HC Falkensteiner Pustertal. In the 5-3 win in Bruneck, the Füchse were never behind, but the victory was hard fought until the end. After a goalless first period, Cristiano Digiacinto gave the guests the lead on a power play in the 24th minute. Tommy Purdeller equalized for the home team in the 27th minute. After Bozen took the lead again through Matt Bradley in the 29th minute, Purdeller scored again just 12 seconds later to equalize. The final score was 2-2. There, Luca Frigo gave Bozen the lead again in the 45th minute, and just under a minute later Brett Pollock, with the advantage, established the first two-goal lead.
