A final decision in the “hall closure in Frohnleiten” case should actually have been made today. But the matter is now off the table until December.
The planned closure of the Frohnleitner ice rink is causing quite a stir and would be a disaster for ice hockey in Styria. The impending end has now been averted for the time being – at least there is more time.
Association President Philipp Hofer told the “Crown newspaper“: “The mayor has assured me that the ice rink issue in the local council will be postponed until December, so that we now have a little more room for maneuver. I am in contact with all political players. We want to organize an ice hockey summit as quickly as possible and still find a sensible solution for everyone.”
