Despite the high summer temperatures, numerous fans did not want to miss the traditional sharks, and look at the cracks in the first test game. And from the start, they also got a brisk game in the well -attended Tiwag Arena, in which the sharks in third one had a significant increase in opportunities, but could not convert it into countable. On the other hand, however, the TowerStars also showed why they were in the DEL2 final last season. Again and again the guests appeared in front of the goal of the new HCI goalies Matt Vernon, who was able to distinguish himself several times. Shortly before the end of the third, the fists flew on the ice. HCI defender Noah Kerber and the Ravensburger Fabio Sarto fought a private duel, the REFS both sent in the shower prematurely.
In third two, the sharks vehemently pressed the lead goal, but remained lucky in the chances of the new acquisitions of the new acquisitions. With the continuation of the section, the tower stars then became stronger, had a little more of the game, and a slatted hit by Nick Latta Pech (36.). Goals? Even in the second third there is no notice!
The preliminary decision in this narrow game then fell, somewhat happy, in minute 43 when Anselm gerg brought the pane on the goal of the sharks, and the puck somehow found his way into the mesh. The Tyroleans were no longer able to decisively add decisively after the strenuous first week of training, only towards the end of the game did they press the equalizer, but he no longer wanted to fall. And so it was Matej Mrazek who made an Empty-Net goal for the final decision for the tower stars in the last minute.
Conclusion: Despite the defeat, the test against the Ravensburg Towerstars was a good one. The sharks repeatedly showed very good approaches, were defensive, and the numerous new additions all made a successful debut.
