Olympia26: 20 ICEHL cracks will appear in Milan!

On Tuesday, host Italy became the last nation to announce its Olympic squad for the games in Milan/Cortina (February 6-22). 15 players from the win2day ICE Hockey League made it into the squad and can look forward to a very special highlight. In addition, three ICE players made it into the Denmark squad, and one player each is in the squad for France and Latvia.

The win2day ICE Hockey League is therefore strongly represented at the Winter Olympics in Milan/Cortina. Host Italy relies on eight players from HCB Südtirol Alperia, six players from HC Falkensteiner Pustertal and one player from Olimpija Ljubljana. The hosts’ group opponents in the season highlight are Sweden (February 11th), Slovakia (February 13th) and Finland (February 14th).

KAC’s Jesper Jensen Aabo will also have the great honor of leading his country as flag bearer at the opening ceremony at the legendary Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. The French and Latvian squads also include a player from the multinational league, namely the Steinbach Black Wings Linz and the Pioneers Vorarlberg respectively.
