Vorarlberg collaboration: Marco Rossi is preparing in Altach!

In the future, SCR Altach will support NHL star Marco Rossi in his summer rehab and preparation for the season. The Vorarlberg Center of the Vancouver Canucks became aware of the Bundesliga soccer team’s new health world and, after a tour, was immediately enthusiastic about the possibilities on site.

Rossi was particularly impressed by the modern infrastructure and the proximity to his hometown of Rankweil. Together with operator Sebastian Halder, a cooperation quickly emerged in which SCR Altach also provides special training equipment for the ice hockey professional. Rossi can also use all of the club’s outdoor facilities. “The fact that Marco Rossi, Vorarlberg’s figurehead in the NHL, is completing his summer training with us, of course makes us very proud. It shows that we have created conditions here in Altach that meet the highest international standards. At the same time, we experience the collaboration with Marco as extremely uncomplicated and very professional – that fits perfectly, both personally and sportingly,” said Halder to the “Vorarlberg news“.

The 24-year-old is currently working intensively to fully recover from his foot injury, which has affected him since December. He is supported by physiotherapists in Altach. The goal is to be back to 100 percent by the start of the new NHL season. Rossi moved from Minnesota to Vancouver last December and scored 22 points in 33 appearances for the Canucks.

Rebuild is gaining momentum

There have been big changes recently at the Vancouver Canucks. After several personnel changes in the club’s management, Rossi sees the new restructuring that has been initiated as positive. “The rebuild was announced, now the new structure is taking shape. The new people have always been close to the team, I see these new appointments as positive.” General Manager Patrik Allvin was replaced by former NHL striker Ryan Johnson, and the two franchise icons Henrik & Daniel Sedin were appointed to the executive committee. The Canucks are also looking for a new head coach because the collaboration with Adam Foote has ended. The Canucks have the 3rd overall pick in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft and could bring an important building block for a more successful future on board.
