Khl Sisak celebrated a perfect home debut in front of over 1,700 fans on Saturday evening and defeated the EC Bregenzerwald 5-0. With this clear success, the Croatians took over the lead in the Alps Hockey League. The reigning master EK Zeller Eisbären also remained unbeaten, while the Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel had to accept their first defeat of the defeat.
Unsuccessful season debut for Bregenzerwald
After the defeat in Jesenice, the EC Bregenzerwald continued its road trip in Sisak. After a goalless third of the kick -off, the home side made the preliminary decision within 86 seconds: Panasenko, Dumcius in the power play and Brus met in quick sequence. In the end, Sisak celebrated a clear 5: 0, with Panasenko and Dumcius being successful a second time.
Kitzbühel releases the lead
For Kitzbühel, the championship lead ended after two rounds. The Tyroleans at SG Cortina Hafro in the shootout. The Italians took the lead in their first home game by Chad Pietroniro before the guests could turn the game until the middle of the game. In the final third, Chad Pietroniro equalized and forced the penalty shootout, in which Fortunato made the decision in favor of Cortina.
Zell am See wins top game
In the top game in front of around 1,900 fans, the Zeller Eisbären narrowly prevailed against the Wipptal Broncos. Despite numerous illness -related failures, the home side caught the better start: Coffman and Schmidt set 2: 0 early. Rämö brought the guests up in the meantime, but Widen restored the old distance in the middle third. Sproviero shortened again in the gripping section, but the polar bears defended cleverly and kept their tight lead. The master also won a victory in the second game of the season.
Salzburg Juniors with the first win of the season
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors won their first win of the season in Asiago and clearly won 7-2. Oberhauser brought the Salzburg on course in the sixth minute in the power play, and it was already 3-0 until the first break. In the further course of the game, the guests continuously expanded their lead. Juhola and Eliseev shone with a double pack. With this success, the juniors climbed fourth in the table.
Merano fetches derby victory
Merano won the South Tyrol derby against Val Gardena and at the same time celebrated the seventh derby success in series. In the 30th minute, Gellon took care of the lead in the power play that Tomasini expanded to 2-0 in the final third. Kasslatter made the game exciting again, but with an Empty Net Goal, Gellon fixed the 3-1 final score.
Unterland defeated Ritten
Unterland was allowed to celebrate the first win of the season. The Cavaliers prevailed 3-2 with the Rittner Buam Skyalps and added the second derby defeat of this week to the two -time champion. After early goals by Erik Potsinok and Gabriel Zut bedo, the guests already led 2-0. Cuglietta succeeded, but Marek Potsinok restored the two-goal lead in the final third. The renewed goal from Cuglietta made the game exciting again, but despite the overnight and final offensive, the Buam was no longer able to equalize.
