Shortly before the start of the championship, Sebastian Benker joined the Haie. Since then, he has not only recommended himself, but has become an important pillar of the team. “Sebastian has shown what he can do. He is an important component of our team not only on the ice, but also in the dressing room,” said head coach Ryan Kinasewich and assistant Florian Pedevilla. “We are very happy that we were able to extend with him.”
Sebastian Benker himself is also happy to be staying in Innsbruck: “It feels really good to remain a shark for the rest of the season. Everyone in the club and the team has welcomed me really well, I feel very comfortable here.” He is optimistic about the Haie’s sporting goals: “We had a bit of a bumpy start, but I have the feeling that the team is getting better every week. I think we can still develop a lot over the course of the season. The fans have been great so far, so keep supporting us and hopefully we can have a great season together.”
