Vienna Capitals still on the rise: “That was a great game for us!”

The Vienna Capitals won 3-0 against HCB Südtirol Alperia on Sunday evening. Head coach Kevin Constantine’s team is celebrating its third win in a row.

Caps goalie Sebastian Wraneschitz parried all 27 shots on goal, securing the Danube city team’s first shutout of the season. With this success, the Kagran team moved up to seventh place in the table. Next Wednesday the Capitals will be guests at the EC iDM Heat Pumps VSV (7.15 p.m.).

Statement Kevin Constantine, head coach of the Vienna Capitals

“It was a great game for us, it was a lot of fun to watch. It’s always so important to score the first goal, so Ben’s goal was essential for us. Another important moment in this game was the almost four minutes of being outnumbered, which we had to overcome. Our penalty killing did a solid job, we hardly allowed any opportunities. I liked the way we handled the lead. We continued to generate chances, but hardly allowed any shots. The team did a great job. Sebastian had the important ones today Made saves and played a big part in the victory.”
