Great grief: NHL team loses important pioneer!

The Utah Mammoth and the entire sports world mourn their communication chief, who died on Thursday at the age of 40 at the consequences of lung cancer.

It was instrumental in building the new NHL franchise in Utah after the league gave the green light in April 2024. Under her leadership, the team managed to make ready for play within a few months and to send it to the ice in the 2024/25 season.

In addition to the Mammoth, she also looked after the Utah Jazz and Smith Entertainment Group. She contributed to the development of the SEG+ streaming platform and produced the anniversary documentation “Note Worthy: 50 Seasons of Jazz Basketball”. In 2024 she became the list “Forty Under 40” of the Sports Business Journal recorded.

Despite the serious illness, she remained an inspiration. She leaves her husband and a lasting legacy in Utah’s sports world.
