As the best goalkeeper of the month, Rasmus Reijola qualified for the “Hockey News Player of the Month for November” and now won the title in the fan voting. He therefore automatically qualified for the Player of the Year vote.
Over 30,000 votes were cast in the voting for November’s Player of the Month and right from the start the winner was the one who ultimately secured victory. Ramus Reijola, who won five of seven games in November with a catch rate of 94.4%, received a total of 7,779, 28.7% of all votes cast.
Second place went to Matt Bradley from HC Bozen with 5,706 votes (18.8%), ahead of Evan Cowley from Vienna Capitals. Nikita Scherbak from VSV took fourth place, ahead of Mathias From (KAC) and Maxime Lagace (Graz99ers)
Reijola is the third player, after October winner Brady Shaw and September winner Nicolai Meyer, who is definitely qualified for the vote for player of the season. The election for Player of the Month for December starts in a few days.
