As the “Kleine Zeitung” reports, a long chapter ends between the “Rotjacken” and Johannes Reichel: The contract of the former defender, who most recently worked as a sports manager and young manager, will be disregarded on mutual agreement on October 15th.
Reichel, who played 635 games for the KAC in his active career, took care of the club’s latest talents after his more abrupt career end in 2016. His focus was on inspiring children for ice hockey and enabling the first steps on the ice in cooperation with schools. However, there are said to have been different opinions behind the scenes. “I know the business, have already seen it coming,” Reichel told the small newspaper and emphasized that he accepted the decision: “There is no evil blood.”
Club president Johannes Schwaiger also confirmed the mutually agreed separation. The youth work at the record champions will be restructured in the future: Markus Peintner will look after the U11 ages to U15, while Roger Öhmann takes responsibility for U18 and U20.
